Privacy policy

The converters and the calculator on this site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are used to compute a result on your own device and are never sent to this site's servers or to anyone else. There is no account, no sign-up and no form.

Nothing that identifies you. The pages are static files served from a web server. Like every web server, ours records standard request logs: the address of the page requested, the time, the IP address the request came from, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are used to keep the site running and to see which pages are read; they are not combined with any other data, not used to build profiles, and are deleted on a rolling basis.

The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no local storage for anything other than, potentially, remembering a preference such as your chosen gallon type on your own device. That preference never leaves your browser.

The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense in the marked spaces on each page. If it does, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show advertisements based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in its advertising policies, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings page or through the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page.

Advertising is served from the advertiser's systems, not ours, and this site does not receive personal data from it. If no advertising is being shown, the marked spaces are empty and no advertising scripts load.

The site does not currently run a third-party analytics service. If one is added, this policy will be updated to name it and describe what it collects before it goes live.

If you write to hello@mpgtoliters.com, your message and address are kept for as long as needed to reply and to act on any correction, and are not shared or added to any list.

The site is a reference tool with no age-specific content and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
